2. Please confirm that a Short Throw Projector & 80” Display Board is intended for this room.

Room 1034

1. Does the client expect the screen to be completely filled? This is an abnormal size. It would be much simpler to fill the screen vertically and have equal amounts of white boarder on either side (left and right) of the image.

Image will fill screen to maximum extent possible (fill vertically at minimum) without the use of specialized lenses. Picture image must not distorted. Must be HIGHLY visible in both low and high light conditions.

2. What digital video connection the owner-furnished computer have?

HDMI

3. Is surround sound negotiable? In this venue, stereo audio from to wall mounted speakers on the front wall with ceiling speaker (mono) reinforcement throughout the room would provide for much better coverage. With the current seating arrangement, the audience would miss out on hearing content from different channels based upon where they were seated.

Yes, Mono will work better for presentations. Surround sound is not required, but full coverage of the room is required.

4. Confirm need to relocate existing screen up/down switch into room? Specific location required such as podium or placement on side wall is acceptable?

Yes, integrated into podium

5. Audio System requirements listed as “surround sound with subwoofer” please confirm actual surround sound for movies or other video content expected? (additional speaker locations such as center channel currently missing required to achieve this)

Surround sound is not required. High quality sound for presentations is the requirement.

Must be able to clearly hear sound in all areas of the room. Subwoofer only needed if it would be required to achieve high quality presentation audio. This room is not a theater room, primarily used for presentations.

6. Is there a requirement for a local viewing computer monitor located on or at the podium that mirrors the images on projector screen? Presenter will not have good direct view of screen when standing behind podium.

Government provided monitor will be used on podium, it must mirror what is being displayed on projector screen.

7. Please confirm size/type of GOV supplied desktop style computer that is to be permanently located in the podium rack. Need to know for rack spacing requirements. This computer would be in addition to provided input for mobile laptop presentations.

HP 15”D, 14”W, 4”H. Will likely be replaced by a laptop later, but will not exceed these dimensions.

8. It appears that we have the following sources for room 1034: Qty (1) DVD player-HDMI, Qty

(1) HDMI input for PC, Qty (1) Apple input (Is this Apple TV?) for a total of 3 sources routed into the Digital Media switcher, please clarify total number of sources for this room.

Required 2, desired 3: HDMI to computer, HDMI to DVD player, Spare HDMI to be used as needed.

9. Is the contractor to provide a location in the new lectern for this room that has rack rails for mounting the associated equipment?

10. In room 1034, the specifications call out for a projector with WUXGA resolution, but the existing motorized screen that is going to be used in the final design has an image size that does not allow for completely filling the screen. The new WUXGA image size will leave a substantial gap on either side of the screen, is that acceptable?

Yes. Fill to maximum extent possible, filled vertically at minimum.

11. The specifications for room 1034 under 700AS Squadron Requirements section g calls out for a Speech Privacy (white noise system). However, this was noted during site survey as being eliminated from this rooms design, please confirm as being removed from this room.

No longer required for this room.

12. The specifications for room 1034 under 700AS Squadron Requirements section h calls out for a Digital clock similar to the BRG model 6614, however there are 9 different models available (see attached Data Sheet). Please clarify the exact model number desired & the color option.

6614G: B25R option

13. The specifications for room 1034 under 700AS call out for a Digital Media Switcher, is this a Crestron product, if so please clarify model number desired.

HDMI matrix desired, such as Key Digital or similar. The requirement is that everything is integrated together for ease of operation. Does not need to be a large touch screen with lots of options. A simple button based platform/ and or remote control is fine. Simple and reliable, please.

14. Please confirm that a sound reinforcement system consisting of full-range distributed ceiling speakers for both voice/microphone sound & program audio is acceptable.

OPS Area outside Auditorium 1034

1. Please confirm that the AV Contractor will need to provide plywood support on the wall for the planned displays.

Answer to be provided on or before 13 Sep 2017 via an amendment to the combine synopsis/solicitation

2. Please confirm that if the AV Contractor determines that cables cannot be fished inside the wall due to obstructions, that surface mounted conduit/wire mold is acceptable.

Yes, but only as last resort.

Answer to be provided on or before 13 Sep 2017 via an amendment to the combine synopsis/solicitation

1. Everything in this room is surface mounted to the wall. Why? Are the walls not penetrable or fishable? Will surface mounted Panduit be needed?

Surface mounting is not required; Normal mounting is preferable.

2. Please confirm requested TV size for 2 LED displays (radar and flights) for this area 60” vs 65”?

60”-65” are all acceptable based on cost and market availability. If 60” is more cost effective than pursue this route.

Public Address System:

1. Please provide list of rooms requiring and not requiring Public Address Speakers.

Requires speakers: All hallways (x4), 1001A/B/C, 1022, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1040, Ops Desk area, 1005, 1006, both bathrooms, right outside room 1035; totaling 17 speakers.

2. Is there a specific DB audio level requirement for the Public Address System?

Loud enough to hear in all specified areas above. Ability to control the volume is a requirement, too.

3. During site survey, it was mentioned that the phone system would be the method used for paging, please clarify.

Yes, it will be. The phone system is used to dial INTO the paging system. The actual physical unit would be separate from the phone system and is accessed by dialing a designated analog phone number that was provided by the 94 CS and attached to the system by the vendor.

1. Also, if the phone system is being used as the method of paging using any phone within the building, please clarify that the phone system has the proper analog output and can be used for this application & that the existing phone system will be programmed for this operation by others.

The analog dial tone the base provides is sufficient to operate paging systems. The TAMB 2 Paging System is in use in multiple buildings around the base.

2. Can the required amplifier for the paging system be mounted in the same rack as the phone system resides?

Yes. Facing the racks, last rack on the right and bottom of that rack.

3. Please provide a quantity of speakers (i.e. 10 or 12 or 14 etc.) to be provided for the Public Address System so that all bidders price the same number of speakers.

Vendor/user determination needed. User will need to identify the rooms/locations to the vendor who would then provide the equipment necessary to meet their needs. Required to have enough, so that the system can be heard in all the specified areas. Requires speakers: All hallways (x4 Total), All rooms require 1 Speaker (1001A/B/C, 1022, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1040, Ops Desk area, 1005, 1006, both bathrooms, right outside room 1035).
