About this file

This document is an ADDENDUM to a Request for Information (RFI) for the F-35 Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) Improvements project at NAS Ft Worth JRB. The addendum modifies the original specifications by changing the foundation requirements for the JBD system. Instead of removing existing concrete along the north and east sides, the contractor can now use drilled cores with smaller amounts of concrete removal as the primary support, as long as minimum depth and diameter requirements are met. The RFI also clarifies that the JBD can be fabricated by another shop as long as it meets the specification requirements, and that the existing concrete curb can be removed. The solicitation number is FA667524R0003, and the requirement is to demolish existing F-16 JBDs and construct new F-35 JBDs per the provided specifications. Responses to this RFI are due by 2 August 2024.
