REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / CLARIFICATION FORM
FOR CONTRACTOR USE ONLY
CONTRACT NO:
FA6675-15-R-0001
RFI NO: 6 DATE 2015-08-31
SUBJECT: HVAC DRAWING REFERENCE/ DETAIL:
Section 3.1.2 and Section 3.1.3
ATTACHMENT SENT UNDER SEPARATE
COVER(__)
RESPONSE NEEDED BY:
REQUEST:
The revised SOW section 3.1 appears to contradict the HVAC load requirement.
Can the Contracting Office please clarify the HVAC quantities required?
• 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 call for (2) 7.5 ton outdoor units, each having a minimum cooling capacity of 182,830 BTU/H and a minimum heating capacity of 154,000 BTU/H with a (1) ton split system in the restroom
• 3.1.3 calls for (3) units with a minimum cooling capacity of 72,000 BTU/H and a minimum heating capacity of 84,000 BTU/H and a (3) ton unit for the restroom.
The (2) 7.5 ton units will provide the total minimum cooling and heating capacities as required by the revised SOW, it appears that 3.1.3 quantities are above the performance requirement and confuse the intent. The (1) ton split would appear to be correct for the restroom.
Additionally section 3.1.3 is calling for (3) 6 ton units and(1) 3 ton unit for the restroom.
PROPOSED SOLUTION (If applicable):
