These items are detailed by paragraphs 2. and 3. of the Scope of Work. There are no items indicated on the Standard Form 1442 for quoting alternates. Is the quote to include the new 12 x 45 driveway shown by Item 8 on Figure J and the new paving between the additional building and the expanded 30 x 50 covered area east of Bldg 3341 shown by Items 9 on Figure J, or is the Standard Form 1442 to include separate bid alternates for Items 8 and 9?

No, para 1.3.2.2 pre-engineered building which should be all new, not using what is there.

Suggest having the new section eave overlap the existing roof with a gutter to keep it dry between the buildings. The new building walls will have to be higher than 10’ because the existing gutter top is approximately 10’2”.

The renovated structure has no requirements to add lighting, ventilation, heating, or air conditioning. Completely enclosing the structure could be a problem. Is the structure to be completely enclosed?
Yes, maybe provide louvers at roof pitch and insulated roof panels to help reduce the heat. This is design build, so we are looking for suggestions from the Contractor.
1.3.2.2.1.
Gutters (≈100 feet) and downspouts (≈8 each or ≈80 feet) shall be installed and the area landscaped to route rain water away for Building 3341.
Question: If the roof is single pitched, can only the east side of the renovated structure have gutters and downspouts? See above 1.3.2.2.2.
Open end shall be on the west side with the other 10’ high walls enclosed.

No, the west side will be the existing building side. No wall for the new building on that side.
