RVKQ 09-0324

REPLACE 15 KV CUTOUT SWITCHES

BASEWIDE

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED REPLACEMENT:

1.) Provide all material and labor to repair and upgrade the existing utility poles and overhead distribution systems as noted below.

a. Pole 13 Needs Insulator for High Voltage Wire,

b. Pole 16 - Needs Insulator for High Voltage Wire , Need pin connector installed for water in secondary,

c. Pole 19 - Needs Insulator for High Voltage Wire

d. Pole 30 - Needs Pin Terminal, Water in Secondary

e. Pole 40 - Needs Insulator for High Voltage Wire

f. Pole 42 – Replace load break cutout ( Sectionalizers)

g. Pole 43-3 - Tighten Triplex

h. Pole 45 – Replace load break cutout ( Sectionalizers)

i. Pole 60 - Needs Insulator for High Voltage Wire, Water in Secondary

j. Pole 64 - Tighten Triplex

k. Pole 65 - Needs Pin Terminal, Water in Secondary

2.) Provide all material and labor to upgrade the existing electrical 15 KV cutouts and lighting arrestors that has metal support hardware from utilities poles base wide.

Removal of all existing cutout and lighting arrestors and metal support brackets from poles base wide. Install new wood cross arms with existing 100 ampere, open style, 15

KV cutouts and 10 KV lightening arrestors. Install proper grounding on all poles that upgraded and provide ground resistance test results for each pole that is upgraded.

Replace fiberglass high voltage support arms with wooden cross arms, pins and insulators.

4.) Replace all 8 foot fiberglass insulator guide wire extensions with 12 foot fiberglass insulator guide wire extensions. All poles with guy wires shall have a 12 foot fiberglass insulator guide wire extensions installed.

5.) All work shall meet the National Electrical Code, current edition.

6.) All work shall be coordinated with base maintenance personnel, base civil engineering personnel and facilities personnel that will be affected.

7.) Provide four copies of any manufactures technical/support documentation to include all testing certifications and preventative maintenance for all electrical components.

8.) All electrical materials for this project will require submittals and acceptance by 914 th

Civil Engineer Section in accordance with Section 01330.

9.) On completion of the project vender shall provide as built/update of base drawing G-4

(Electrical Distribution System).
