No. Question Answer
Attachment 2, section 2.1, states that "the project is a Design-Build contract". In Attachment 3, the Index of drawings, it was mentioned that 100% of the drawings had been submitted on 10/22/2020. Please confirm whether the solicitation is a Design-Build project or a Design-Bid-Build project.
This is a Design-Build project.
Drawings Sheet A5. What is the voltage and desired downrod length?
Sheet A-5 was provided as reference only. Government did not do the previous design and will not answer questions regarding that design.
In the platform (Construct Connect) we are not able to find the Mechanical Plans.
All the documents for this project are found on SAM.gov. That is the official solicitation page.
What is the voltage and desired downrod length of the Powerfoil D Fan as specified in the drawings sheet A5.?
Sheet A-5 was provided as reference only. Government did not do the previous design and will not answer questions regarding that design.
5 Is a bid bond required for this solicitation? Yes, it is
Please specify color/designs for rubber flooring specified on sheet A-4 on the plans/drawing
Sheet A-4 was provided as reference only. Government did not do the previous design and will not answer questions regarding that design. Fitness flooring to meet section 3.6. Color to be discussed during design.
What is the existing Video management system installed ?
Refer to section 3.17.3 paragraph b for information on the existing CCTV system at the Gym.
Analog or IP cameras being added ? Refer to section 3.17.3 paragraph b for information on the existing CCTV system at the Gym. New CCTV system shall be compatible and work with the existing system.
When adding card readers to the system is a standard Weigand reader compatible ?
Refer to section 3.17.3 paragraph b for information on the existing CCTV system at the Gym.
Access control panels normally only allow a specific number of readers to attach to controllers. Are there any available reader inputs to add readers to the system or is an additional panel required?
Refer to section 3.17.3 paragraph b for information on the existing ASC system at the Gym.
Is there any way that we can obtain a copy of the Architectural plan of the Gym Building? We need the Architectural plan in order to see the layout of the existing CCTV system
We don't have plans available with the layout of the existing CCTV system.
Do we need to include new soil borings and a new geotechnical report as part of our bid?
Refer to section 3.4. Geothecnical report is required.
Can we rely on the existing Geotech report for pricing purposes (i.e. 4’ over-excavation recommended for site +5’ perimeter)
New design shall be done in accordance with the geothecnical report generated by the Contractor in this project.
Is the Bird netting required to cover the entire ceiling space?
Yes, it is. Refer to section 3.11
Can you clarify what is required for the "Lifting Racks/Support Beams" shown in the schematic - are these intended to stand away from the wall as a built in "squat/power racks"? Are we supplying any other accessories with these or just the steel with holes as described?
These are intended to be at the edge of the structure, attached to the structure support beams above, near the roof, as well as anchored or imbedded in the concrete floor. The facility is pretty much open on the sides, but these beams will be located where the wall would be, if there was a wall. They will be 2" x 3" steel box channels with 5/8" holes drilled horizontally through the channels every 2".
The holes will be in-line at the same heights above the floor. "Contractor does not have to provide any other accessories with the steel holes".
Please clarify the power requirements. Section 3.13 discuss the power distribution with no specific panel size. Section 3.13.3 (Option 4) discusses a 400 amp panel. Can we assume base bid only needs to include a service that is adequate to handle the base building (i.e. fans, lights, outlets, controls)?
New electrical meter and service is required for the new facility. New service shall be adecuate to handle new facility's loads. Refer to section 3.13
Where the Low Voltage Conduits cross the running track, does this need to be by directional bore?
Yes, the existing track is not supposed to be damaged.
