About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document containing clarifications and answers to technical questions regarding the procurement of two air compressors and one air receiver tank for the Department of the Air Force Reserve Command under Solicitation FA660626Q0008.
The RFI addresses two primary technical conflicts in the specification. First, it clarifies that the air dryer must be sized for the maximum combined airflow (214 CFM) of the entire two-compressor system, not the 150-CFM specification cited elsewhere in the requirements, as a 150-CFM dryer would be inadequate for a dual-compressor installation. Second, it requests confirmation regarding the installation site's electrical voltage capacity, noting that previous RFI responses specified the voltage at the disconnects. The RFI response emphasizes that contractors should size the dryer based on maximum system airflow to ensure proper operation. These clarifications are critical for submitting technically acceptable quotes. The solicitation includes a mandatory site visit scheduled for February 18, 2026 at 0900 AM EDT, with attendance strongly encouraged due to project complexity. All visitors must present REAL ID-compliant identification. Updated requirements were posted on March 16, 2026, with RFI responses due by March 23, 2026, and quotes due by March 31, 2026. This is a Firm-Fixed Price award for commercial items under FAR Part 12, issued without discussions.

Text version
1. The specs contradict themselves when they say they need a dryer sized to fit both compressors (214 cfm combined), but then they ask for a 150-cfm dryer in a different spot. Should we quote a dryer fit for 214 cfm or for 150 cfm? The 150-cfm dryer will NOT dry the air for a 2-compressor system.
a. The air dryer needs to be sized for the maximum airflow (CFM) of the entire system.
2. Could you please confirm whether the installation location already supports 240V, or let us know the exact voltage at the site? This will help us provide a complete quotation.
a. The voltage quoted in the previous RFIs is the voltage at the disconnects.
