This document contains a Request for Information report regarding Solicitation FA6606-23-B-0001 for the addition of a restroom and outside air to Inspection Bay Building 5305. The prime contractor submitted questions about how to wire Type-A emergency light fixtures according to manufacturer instructions and the one-line diagram. It also asked whether the existing fire alarm notification circuit could support added current draw from new alarm devices. The government response provided clarification on wiring the emergency light fixtures and referred the contractor to fire alarm drawings and notes for information on the notification circuit capacity.

Response:
Type “A” fixtures shown with half shaded area are to be provided with emergency ballasts and twin drivers, please advise how these fixtures are to be controlled.
Please see the one-line diagram of sheet E-001(Drawings). The Type-A fixtures with emergency lighting are to be wired according to the manufacturer's instructions. Occupancy sensors and switch to be wired according to the one-line diagram.
Are we to assume that the existing fire alarm notification circuit in the building will allow for the added current draw of the new alarm devices.
Please see the notes on sheet FA-501(Drawings).
