1. What is the rated load capacity of the systems?
Bootstrap Beam Assembly ‐ Answer: See attached PDF named “2.5.1 Load Test Procedures” for load test instructions; various configurations required.
Bootstrap Hoists ‐ Answer: 12,000 pound capacity (6‐ton and 3‐ton hoists in kit).
APU Hoists ‐ Answer: load test is 900 pounds.
Do you require 125% capacity load tests or does 100% meet the requirement? Answer: Yes, 125% required on the hoists; everything else has a specific amount called for by the book on the load test.
2. Is it possible to do this work on site? If so, what is my access to the equipment? How high are the units? Can I bring a truck with weights under each unit or do I need a forklift? Answer: It is not safe to do the work on site. We have no safety cages or areas to protect personnel in case of a failure during load test. These would have to be tested off‐site in a secure area.
3. If they need to be taken off site, am I responsible for loading/unloading of the equipment? Do I need a forklift to accomplish loading/unloading? Answer: Yes, the equipment has shipping containers and can be taken off site and the vendor would be responsible. You would need a larger open or “stake body” truck to hold all the equipment. Forklift would certainly be required to on‐load and offload the equipment, all provided by the vendor.
4. Can you please send pictures of the units? Photos may answer some of my questions. Answer: See attached PDF named “Pictures”.
