Questions and Answers

1) We would like to clarify whether you are referring to an Air Traffic Controller Training simulator mainly or whether the Virtual Reality Simulator is intended for other purposes. In order to prepare an offer for you, we’d like to know the number of working positions needed.

This will only be used for Air Traffic Control training purposes. There are four positions—ground control, local control, flyer/watch supervisor (pseudopilot), and flight data.

2) With this latest SOW modification, could we request a 3 week extension on the proposal due date in order to provide you with the best quality proposal?

Due to an ongoing training deficit, acquisition milestones are shorter on this solicitation. Equipment is need as soon as feasible, which is why we are also evaluating for delivery timeline. Additionally, the

Government still has a reasonable expectation to receive more than one offer. The Government is unable to extend the solicitation at this time.

3) Are you looking for ready made software or to create software from zero for this Vr training?

The Government is currently looking for a ready made software to facilitate quicker deployment and recover from the current gap in training available to service members.
