About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document containing three clarification questions submitted by EchoDyne regarding an EchoShield radar sensor procurement solicitation.

The first question addresses a discrepancy between the solicitation's specified maximum dimensions (42.5 × 33 × 18 cm) and maximum sensor weight (17.8 kg) versus EchoDyne's current published technical datasheet specifications (42.9 × 32.9 × 18.7 cm and 19.2 kg), requesting government confirmation that the manufacturer's current published specifications are acceptable. The second question seeks clarification on the correct NATO Green EchoShield part number, noting that the solicitation references P/N 700025-300-30 while EchoDyne's current ordering information identifies the NATO Green configuration as P/N 700025-300-300. The third question requests detailed clarification on the scope of contractor-performed assembly and delivery requirements, specifically asking whether contractor personnel must be physically present at Aviano Air Base, Italy to assemble the four-radar Rapid Deployment Kit, and whether system configuration, integration, testing, or operational verification activities are included as part of the assembly effort.

EchoDyne EchoShield Questions

1. Attachment 1 specifies maximum dimensions of 42.5 × 33 × 18 cm and a maximum sensor weight of 17.8 kg. Echodyne's current EchoShield technical datasheet identifies the dimensions as 42.9 × 32.9 × 18.7 cm and weight as 19.2 kg. Can the Government please confirm that the manufacturer's current published dimensions/weight are acceptable.

2. Additionally, the solicitation identifies the NATO Green EchoShield as P/N 700025- 300-30, while Echodyne's current ordering information identifies NATO Green as P/N 700025-300-300. Can the Government please confirm that P/N 700025-300-300 is the intended NATO Green configuration?

3. The solicitation states that the Government requires “direct delivery and assembly to Aviano Air Base, Italy.” Can the Government please clarify the required scope of contractor-performed assembly, including whether contractor personnel are required to be physically present at Aviano AB to assemble the four-radar Rapid Deployment Kit and whether any system configuration, integration, testing, or operational verification is required as part of the assembly effort?
