About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation FA568226Q0014 issued on 19 June 2026 by the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron (31 CES) for 25 military gear lockers. The document addresses clarifications regarding locker specifications, assembly, shipping, and storage requirements.
Key clarifications include: locker internals (hooks, shelves, bars) are included as part of a total solution package, with additional shelves added per user request; shipping logistics are addressed in Amendment 2 FA568226Q00140002; assembly and installation are the user's responsibility upon receipt, with warranty coverage valid only until the box is opened by the user; lockers larger than the preferred minimum dimensions are acceptable; both filled and empty storage scenarios for C BAGS and A BAGS must be accommodated; and the correct Pelican case outside dimensions are L80.24 x W51.99 x H31.62 cm (not the previously stated measurements). The procurement specifies overall locker dimensions of width 107 cm, depth 61 cm, and height 198 cm, which is the required specification despite vendor concerns regarding space allocation for combat uniforms, protective vests, and large backpacks within the designated compartments.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Solicitation FA568226Q0014 - 31 CES n. 25 military gear lockers.
19 Jun 2026
Q 5: You have separated the internals of the lockers out, are you considering purchasing these separately? Our quoting process includes the internals as we will need to include them in the build, the quote will be for a total solution of x lockers, each locker will have hooks, shelves, bar etc as per a shown layout.
A 5: The quote was pushed with separate internals of the lockers because the User requested more shelves.
Q 6: The shipping you have requested is to Cumbernauld. Are you planning to organize the shipping yourselves?
A 6: See Amendment 2 FA568226Q00140002
Q 7: As far as I can see, you have not included an installation line on the solicitation. These lockers do not come pre-assembled, they need to be built on site. Are you planning to use non manufacturer trained personnel to build and install them? If so, please be aware that would invalidate any warranty.
A 7: the warranty is supposed to be valid until the User receives and opens the box. If the User will build it by themselves and break something is on them.
Q 8: Is there space in order to accept larger in width and height lockers?
A 8: Yes, the already indicated preferred dimensions are the minimum size required
Q 9 : Will the C BAGS and A BAGS be stored fully with equipment or empty ?
A 9 : Both scenarios should be valid
Q 10: As per Pelican site the correct outside dimensions are L80.24 x W51.99 x H31.62 cm and not 33mm H x 54mm W x 82mm D

Also as per the requirement w 107 cm -d 61 cm-h 198 cm, if from the width we take 82cm only for the pelicans as the below drawing left compartment they will only leave 25cm for the hanger which is too small in order to fit/ place or hang full combat uniforms and their protective vest and a 3 day pack or large backpack
A10 : the size they provide (w 107 cm -d 61 cm-h 198 cm) is the one they are looking for.
