United States Air Force

Contracting Officer, Infrastructure Support Flight 52d Contracting Squadron Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany

RE: FA5606-19-Q-1008

This serves to confirm the following questions (#1 and #2) as requested by the 52nd Contracting Squadron in reference to the aforementioned RFQ.

I. Are .components interoperable with Trimble GPS controllers and equipment products and can they be fully integrated?

Trimble response: -components are not interoperable with "Trimble GPS controllers and equipment". This includes current generation models (GPS and total stations) which USAF has been procuring for over 5years from Trimble.

llllcomponents can not be made to be integrated with Trimble current generation models unless engineered, designed, tested and approved by Trimble.

Any unauthorized /unapproved attempts to interface and/or interoperate with said Trimble models could cause serious faults and/or risks and damage to the Trimble models. This includes but is not limited to interruption of sensitive data collection and data communication between different manufacturers' components.

2. ..lf iaProducts were purchased and integrated with Trimble controllers and equipment, would that void the Trimble warranty?

Trimble response: Any/ all unauthorized attempts to integratellllcomponents with Trimble components ( controllers and equipment) shall immediately void the Trimble warranty.

Any/all unauthorized attempts to integrate llllcomponents with Trimble components ( controllers and equipment), which place USAF EA' s and others at risk of injury and/or death will be the sole responsibility of those attempting to interoperate integrate these components.

Trimble considers this extremely serious when others claim they can do something, which they are not authorized to do, and places USAF personnel at significant risk.
