QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 8 July 24

For Solicitation Number: FA527024Q0031

Generator Maintenance, Okinawa Japan

1. Is there any requirement for service calls or any anticipated response time contractor are expected to fulfill? (PWS para 5.10)

Answer: There is no specific timeline due to the fact lead times for parts and materials vary. We expected that when the COR orders work that the vendor supplies a estimate start time for materials and work start at that time.

2. During the site visit, it was outlined that the contractor did not need to supply any parts such as filters, oils, or parts unless the COR requested the contractor to acquire parts for task, and the contractor would then provide a quote for the material to the COR for approval. Is this correct?

(PWS para 5.11)

Answer: That is correct the vendor is not require to perform oil changes or filter changes etc unless the COR request it directly to the contractor. At that point contractor will provide us a quote for the work.

3. It was noted during the site visit that Fort Buckner Annual service will not be required for the first base year. Will that be noted through amendment to the solicitation?

Answer: The base year does NOT include FT Buckner. This should already be stated in the solicitation.

4. Should quote be entered in JPY or USD? If USD, what is the exchange rate?

Answer: Please bid in your country’s currency. (e.g., JPY for Japanese vendors, USD for U.S vendors).

For evaluation purpose FY24 currency rate of Y139.1635 = $1.00 will be used.
