About this file
This document contains answers to questions regarding a solicitation for an FM9 DSL upgrade at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. The scope of work involves replacing three network switches, installing 52 Honeywell Vindicator 1500 panel boards and 104 DSL modems along with the required wiring and fiber work. It also includes programming of field and server devices. The contractor will install and program all items listed in Appendix B and ensure all network equipment has proper licensing, functionality, and approval for Windows 10. All installation and programming of the intrusion detection system must be completed by U.S. nationals with appropriate clearances and certifications. Shipping costs should be included in the total price. The government will provide a communications cabinet and firmware upgrades are the contractor's responsibility. The contractor must include a 10% spare quantity of core equipment. Two network switches are required rather than the three listed in the price list. Relevant Air Force instructions and equipment lists are attached. Alternatives to the Honeywell Vindicator 1500T panels are allowed if compatibility is ensured.
