About this file
This document provides questions and answers regarding a federal solicitation to replace various indoor transformers at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The solicitation seeks a contractor to replace indoor power transformers with outdoor loop feed power transformers in NEMA 316L stainless steel enclosures and reinforced concrete at four locations. The work includes replacing main distribution panels, rewiring medium voltage primary and secondary cables, replacing automatic transfer switches, and providing AMI kilowatt-hour meters compatible with the existing system. The contractor must also add 12 spaces for future indoor switchboard provisions at each building. Proposals were due initially on April 12, 2022, but were extended to April 18, 2022 based on contractor requests for additional time. The contract type is firm-fixed-price and the magnitude is estimated between $5-10 million.
