About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document associated with Air Force flooring replacement solicitation FA521526Q0027 for 647 FSS Flooring Amendment 2. The document addresses key procedural questions regarding quote submission and project scope clarification.
The government will not permit site visits or walkthroughs prior to quote submission; offerors must base pricing on provided floor plans, drawings, and photographs uploaded to the original SAM.gov posting. The deadline for submitting questions or RFIs is July 14, 2026. The Statement of Work has been finalized and is binding for quote purposes, with all "Draft" language removed. Regarding asbestos testing documentation from the 2019/2020 carpet installation period, all testing completed during that timeframe was negative; offerors should price work based on the information currently provided rather than requesting field verification. For required furniture movement, disassembly, and reassembly, pricing must be based solely on provided drawings and photographs, as field verification prior to final performance will not be permitted. Offerors are directed to reference the pictures of the space and furniture types that have been uploaded to the SAM.gov posting to inform their quotes.

Text version
1. Is there a scheduled site visit, walkthrough, or opportunity to inspect the work area before quote submission?
No.
2. If no site visit is currently scheduled, may offerors request access to inspect the space before the quote deadline?
No, this is why the floor plans were provided.
3. Is there a deadline for submitting questions/RFIs for this RFQ?
Deadline for questions is 7/14/2026.
4. The SOW appears to include “Draft SOW – Customer Verification Required” language. Can you confirm whether the posted SOW is final and binding for quote purposes?
The SOW has been changed to remove “Draft” language. This is the final SOW as of the date posted.
5. The SOW states that asbestos testing was completed during the 2019/2020 carpet installation, but that documentation is not currently available to the office. Is any asbestos testing documentation available to offerors, or should offerors price the work based on the information currently provided?
All testing completed for carpet installation was negative during the 2019/2020 timeframe stated in the SOW. Pricing should be based on the current information provided.
6. For the required furniture movement/disassembly/reassembly, should offerors price this based only on the provided drawings/photos, or will field verification be permitted before final performance?
A field verification/site visit will not be permitted. Pricing should be based on current information.
7. Could you provide pictures of the space so that we can see the furniture types?
They have been uploaded to the original SAM.gov posting.
