Paragraph 1.1 "Inspection"

What Federal specification mandates the K type inspection. This inspection is not identified in the AR 420_01 specification.

In accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 3-430-07) and the latest edition of the Code of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (BPVI), Government developed the PWS including inspection types (A, C and K). We reviewed the aforementioned regulations, and determined that there is no need to change the type K inspection; therefore, no revision is made to the PWS.
