About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Request for Quotation (RFQ) regarding gym equipment and facility modifications for Building 112.
The submission deadline has been extended to noon on August 20, 2026, via RFQ amendment. The project involves procurement and installation of three primary items: bleachers, a gym dividing net, and wall padding. The government does not provide existing drawings for the bleachers but specifies that new bleachers should match current dimensions—32 feet wide by 9 feet long on the left side and 25 feet 5 inches wide by 9 feet long on the right side. The gym dividing net must be 27 feet tall and 32 feet long, with specifications referenced in Appendix 4 of the Statement of Work (SOW). Wall padding specifications are detailed in Appendix 3 of the SOW; contractors requiring existing equipment dimensions should contact Mr. Turner to coordinate on-site measurements. The government prefers Japanese products due to repair and maintenance availability. Regarding asbestos-containing materials noted in Section 2.7.4 of the SOW for Building 112 walls, the government has provided attached test results indicating locations, affected areas, and concentration levels. Advance payment will not be authorized under the resulting contract, and contractors must arrange payment terms directly with suppliers such as Kotobuki Seating Co., Ltd., without government advance funding.
