QUESTION AND ANSWER #2

18 January 2012

1. Section 1.5.1 - Will the contractor have to supply the carpet shampooer?

If the PWS does not say the government provides it, then the contractor will provide it.

1.0. Scope of Work. Except for items specified in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) as government furnished property or services, the contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, any items and services necessary to perform food service attendant services at the Two Seasons Dining Facility at Eielson AFB (EAFB) as defined in this PWS.

1.8.4.4.4. Consumable Supplies. The contractor shall furnish all consumable supplies and carry-out containers, to include Styrofoam three-compartment containers, plastic three-compartment diagonal tray w/attached cover (2 styles, NSN # s, 7350-01-387-3613 and 7350-01388-7428; mandatory food service requirement;

HQ SVS/SVOHF), flight boxes (NSN# 7350-01-389-3518; mandatory food service require; HQ SVS/SVOHF); dining packet (NSN# 7360-01-167-2610; mandatory food service requirement;

HQ SVS/SVOHF) 8 oz and 12 oz. Styrofoam cups; 4, 16, and 24 oz. clear plastic salad containers and disposable tableware items, i.e., paper plates, plastic knives, forks, spoons, salad bowls, dessert plates, bowls, paper towels, trash bags, coffee stir sticks, coffee filters, drinkable straws, 2-compartment drink carrier with handle, plastic wrap, wax paper, parchment paper, aluminum foil, foil sandwich wrap, plastic gloves, toothpicks, register paper for the cashier stations, all necessary cleaning chemicals for the entire facility to include degreaser solution for the hoods self cleaning system, and all light bulbs for food service equipment and facility. Contractor must also furnish all lids to the above-required consumable items.

2. Section 1.8.4.4.4 - Will you provide the type of light bulbs required of the contractor (style, model, quantity of lights on site).

Yes.

3. Section 1.10.1.3 - Is there historical data for the Northern Edge training exercise in regards to the amount of meals served. That is the only training that historical data was not provided for.

At this time the government can only provide the projected numbers that are outlined in the Statement of Work due to Operational Security Concerns.

4. Section 1.10.4 - When it states "number of serving lines/cashiers" is that actual serving lines and cashier stations or is that the number of contract staff that is required for serving and cashier duties? The

"**Note" on page 14 leads one to believe it is the number of people, not actual serving lines/stations.

The number of contract staff.

**Note: One line server will cover the breakfast line from 0700-1330. A second line server will open the brunch serving line at 1030-1330. Both lines will be cleaned at the end of the meal period.

A line server is a person. A cashier is a person.

5. Section 1.10.4 - The chart on the bottom of page 13 indicates exercise hours, serving lines and cashiers. Is this for the RANG training exercise weekends? It does not specify, only stating "exercise hours".

The government is unsure of what the abbreviation RANG stands for? Exercise hours are for any exercise we may have.

6. CAB Agreement - Can we be provided with a more recent copy as the one provided quotes values from 2009/2010. If there is no recent copy, are the values (pay rates, travel allowance, ITPE Fund, Pension,etc) still the same as the provided signed CAB Agreement? In addition, we did not see a value in the CAB for uniform allowance - is there one that can be provided?

See amendment #1 for further information and addendum attached in amendment #3. All information is what has been provided by union represenative no further information is available.

7. Appendix II - Unable to locate an Appendix II

See page 23 of PWS for Appendix II.

8. Section 4.5 Appendix V - Page 29 notates there is an Airman Center -is the contractor required to clean the Airman Center?

Yes.

Performance are required - how many volumes/copies of each are required or is email submission acceptable?

See Amenment #2 Addendum to 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors.

Both, exercises occur on weekdays as well as weekends.

The contractor shall obtain foods from the senior cook for the preparation of each meal and accomplish the food preparation tasks (i.e. chop lists, breakfast meats, pastries) listed on the Food Service Production Log, in accordance with the Air Force (AF) Automated Recipe System.

BOTH, at all times. Prep items for salad bar, complete chop list daily, pan up meats for next day breakfast, pan up finished pastries for every meal.

Performance information contained in the offeror's proposal, or is it to be sent out by the offeror themselves?

13. RFP, Amendment 1, Page 2, Evaluation Factors for Award: What are the technical requirements that offers' are required to agree to?
