QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
FOR
COAL CRUSHER REPLACEMENT
AT
CLEAR AIR STATION, ALASKA
SOLICITATION NO. FA5004-09-R-C009
It shall be noted to all interested parties that the following questions have been received in writing regarding the subject acquisition. Additionally, responses have been provided to the below listed questions.
As a reminder, it is the responsibility of all Interested Parties to review this website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) frequently for any updates and/or amendments to any and all subject documents.
Question 1:
How long can the crusher be out of service during the contract period? I had referred to section F deliveries or performance 52.211-10 (page 4 of 32). Do we have a limited time for the replacement of the coal system?
Answer 1:
See specification Section 01005, 1.5, A, B and C.
Question 2:
JA-7 DRAWING (4 OF 9) under specific note, #3 reads Dismantle and rebuild drives as required...should this read reassemble drives as required?
If not, please list the details of the rebuild requirements.
Answer 2:
Correct. The word "reassemble" would have better described the work requirement.
Question 3:
Will any lodging be offered for this project and if so, for how many rooms?
Answer 3:
Section 01005, 1.8, A, describes housing and messing facilities to be provided for the duration of one site construction activities. A maximum of four rooms (4 persons) will be provided on-site housing at no cost to the contractor. These persons may take meals in the Clear Dining Facility on a pay as you go basis. Meal prices and hours of operation are provided in the referenced specification section.
