About this file
This is a PLM Bulk Sample Analysis Report for Asbestos testing conducted by Atlas Laboratory for the client JBER 773 Civil Engineer Squadron located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The report documents analysis of seven bulk samples collected on May 8, 2024, from Facility 11540, with testing completed on July 9, 2024. The samples were analyzed using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) in accordance with EPA Method 40 CFR Appendix E to Subpart E of Part 763 and EPA Method 600/R-93/116.
All seven samples tested negative for asbestos content. The samples included yellow adhesive materials from Rooms 5, 4A, and 4B, as well as gypsum wallboard with joint compound (GWB-JC) and texture materials from Rooms 5 and 4A. Each sample was analyzed for layer composition, with non-asbestos components identified as other non-fibrous material, cellulose fiber, and fibrous glass, all totaling 100% non-asbestos composition. The Atlas Anchorage Laboratory is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 200124-0) and certified to ISO/IEC 10725:2017. The one-week turnaround time was met with samples received July 1, 2024, and analysis completed July 9, 2024.

Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) Definition: >1% asbestos by weight. <1% Results recommend verification by Point Count may be necessary for a more accurate and precise result.
TRACE Results signify confidence that the concentration is so low that additional testing is not necessary.
