27 The clause 52.216-1 states that the contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract with Cost-Reimbursable CLINs, and various language in the RFP indicates reimbursement under “the appropriate CLIN” for certain activities. However, the CLIN descriptions in Section B are all designated as FFP. Please clarify which of the CLINs are intended to be Cost-Reimbursement type. Are they the CLINs [0x20, 0x21, 0x22] which state “Contractor is not required to provide a bid amount on this CLIN…”?

This a Firm Fixed price Contract and not a Firm-Fixed Price Contract with Cost- Reimbursable CLINs. Corrections will be made

30 The Government’s response to Question 17 indicates that [the costs of] Contractor-acquired O&M parts, materials, etc. (under the CAP CLIN) will be paid to the Contractor upon approval by the C.O. The message in that response seems to clearly indicate that such material costs are one of the “cost reimbursement” aspects of the contract.

However, the language in PWS Para 1.9.2 and its subparagraphs indicates that maintenance material costs are to be part of the firm-fixed-price of the contract. Please clarify and remedy this apparent ambiguity.

This is considered a Firm Fixed Price because the Contractor-acquired O&M parts, materials, etc. will be paid and purchased upon approval by the Contracting Officer.

With the approved and negotiated purchase price, it will become a Firm Fixed Price.
