Solicitation FA4877-20-Q-0040

Medical Waste Collection and Disposal Services

04 Aug 20

Q1. “Can you elaborate on the type of infectious waste that will be present? Is it bandages and sharps or is there potential for body parts as well?”

A. There will be bandages, sharps, potential body parts, as well as pharmaceuticals and soiled linen.

Q2. “Other than > 44 gallons, rigid, moisture and puncture resistant is there any requirements for the containers? Any color or shape requirements?”

A. Any color will work, preferably round barrels.

Q3. “Do you want the bid to be Lump Sum for a 1 year time frame not to exceed 360 drums?”

A. The contract line items (CLINs) are structured for five separate years—CLINS 0001 through 40001— not to exceed 360 barrels per year. Each year should be priced per the unit of measure and per the quantity, not lump sum. The unit of measure is Barrel and the quantity is 360 for each year. Therefore, please price proposals for each year separately, for five years total. (e.g., Year 1 = CLIN 0001; Year 2 = CLIN 1001; Year 3 = CLIN 2001, and so forth.)
