CATM Services- Q&As
3 December 2020
1. This question is in regards to the verbiage of "lead" in the solicitation: has or will there be any situation which true lead abatement will be required or is the range strictly using frangible rounds with frangible residue/dust? At times, lead and frangible dust get lumped into the same category but they are separate classifications requiring different requirements. The contractor shall be prepared to perform full lead abatement.
2. Is there a certification required? The PWS does not specify a certification. See Paragraph 1: All inspections, cleaning, and maintenance performed under this contract (by the Contractor or any subcontractor) shall be conducted in accordance with (IAW) manufacturers’ specifications, and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
Paragraph 1.2.1.3: All work shall be done in accordance with applicable Federal standards (Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], EPA, etc.) for lead handling.
