About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for maintaining airfield surfaces and markings at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The SOW outlines detailed requirements for rubber removal, paint removal, and repainting of airfield surfaces including taxiways (Lima, Hotel, and Kilo) and runway areas. Key technical requirements include providing traffic control, using appropriate equipment and materials, maintaining communication with control tower, and strictly adhering to airfield safety protocols. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work, with specific guidelines for vehicle operations, pavement damage repairs, environmental protection, and debris disposal.

The document specifies deliverables including a preliminary schedule, a construction narrative detailing work to be accomplished, equipment to be used, material submittals, and a cost estimate in Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Master Format. Painting and marking quantities are precisely documented, with estimated surface areas for white, yellow, and black references across different airfield zones. The total rubber removal area is specified as 240,000 square feet, with additional paint removal ranging across multiple taxiways and runway sections. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining strict safety standards, including specific traffic control measures, communication protocols, and operational restrictions within the airfield environment.

2. The intent of Wing Family Days is to provide Airmen with an extended weekend to spend time with their family and friends. During these weekends, unless further restricted by Unit Commander guidance, Airmen are not required to take leave if they remain in the established local area. For any absence longer than 4 days or travel OCONUS, leave should be applied in accordance with Unit Commander guidance and AFI 36-3003. While there are no legal provisions to allow time off for civilians without charge to leave, a liberal leave policy for civilian personnel is encouraged on Wing Family Days. Commanders should allow liberal use of authorized leave categories (e.g. annual leave, credit time earned, leave without pay, or previously earned time-off awards).

3. The intent of Wing Resiliency Days is to promote cohesion across units. Wing-level events will aim to increase connectedness and improve our overall ability to overcome life's challenges.

4. The intent of Wing Training Days is to provide unit commanders dedicated time to accomplish day-to-day contingency and/or resiliency training, tailored to meet their unit's specific needs. Expect limited non-emergency services during Wing Training Days in order to facilitate training time for customer service-oriented units.

5. Unit Commanders have the responsibility and authority to lead their units and properly manage work schedules in accordance with the 23d Wing's priorities.

6. Thanks for all you do - TIGERS LEAD!
