FA4801-15-R-0029 Q&A’s 898 Paintbooth Retrofit Question: We see that there are exhaust fans and recirculation fans, however we do not see a reference to an intake fan/motor. Are we to assume that we are to provide an intake fan? If so please advise on the size.

Answer: There is an intake fan and the contractor is NOT required to replace or provide. The Intake fan’s motor Is 40hp

Further discussion has revealed that the NESHAP filters are requred based on the configuration of the airflow system. These booths have recirculating air as a result for the saftery of the personnel in the booth NESHAP filters ARE required.
