About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA470426Q7004 concerning light tower rental and servicing requirements.
The solicitation involves the rental and maintenance of 6kW light towers with 4 lighting fixtures per tower producing a combined minimum of 180,000 lumens. Each tower has a mast height range up to a maximum of 23 feet and must provide both 120V and 240V electrical connections. The Government is responsible for providing diesel fuel during the contract period, though the contractor must handle initial fueling upon delivery. The contractor is responsible for transporting and repositioning towers within the installation, primarily upon Government request but also for routine repositioning based on operational requirements. Operating hours must be tracked and documented by the contractor. The Government will require training for two individuals upon initial delivery, with periodic refresher training as needed; trained personnel may only perform basic troubleshooting and start-up/shutdown operations, while all preventative maintenance and repairs remain the contractor's responsibility. The contract includes an option for up to 15 additional towers with expected incremental exercise, 24-hour response time, and 72-hour delivery time. Two spare towers must be maintained on standby. The proposal deadline is Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time. This is not a new contract; the current contract number is FA470426P0013. Payment will follow WAWF procedures per RFO 252.232-7006. Contractor vetting information must be transmitted via DoD SAFE to the Contracting Officer, with the three-duty-day processing period beginning September 8, 2026, prior to the contract start date of September 11, 2026.
