About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract FA470426Q0006 titled "Access Road Equipment and Gravel." The document does not address specific response dates, award dates, or pricing terms, as it serves to clarify solicitation requirements rather than establish contractual timelines or compensation structures.
The document clarifies that the contractor's scope is limited to equipment rental, material procurement, delivery, maintenance, and transportation services with no construction or installation activities. Contractors must provide pit run base course material (300 tons) with supplier specification sheets and weight tickets from each delivery truck, standard roadway construction geotextile fabric without special specifications, and an on-road dump truck. The contractor must provide all equipment without operators and is responsible for filling a 2,000-gallon water truck as needed within 48 hours of government notification, with each refill constituting a separate billable order. The government will provide diesel fuel, while the contractor must supply lubricants and consumables required for equipment maintenance. Bill of Materials quantities are fixed, equipment delivery timelines are expressed in calendar days, and equipment must be repaired or swapped within 24 hours of government notification. Equipment is to operate on a single-shift basis, and escort requirements and Commercial Vehicle Inspection processing times will be confirmed upon award.
