About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for an Office Furniture Move & Temporary Storage Service Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, Solicitation No. FA468625Q0034. The solicitation covers comprehensive moving services including personnel capable of dismantling, installing, and relocating office furniture and cubicles. Key details include using a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract model where specific task order requirements will be determined post-award, with mandatory site visits required for each task order.

The Q&A addresses potential vendors' inquiries about contract specifics, clarifying that no pre-bid site inspections will be allowed. The contract involves multiple line items covering moving equipment (dollies, straps, blankets), truck usage (17-foot moving truck for a full workday), wood crating, and related services. Equipment and box needs will be determined at the task order level, with costs integrated into the Moving Equipment pricing. This is a new contract opportunity with no incumbent, and vendors are expected to price services on a per-job basis without specific quantity constraints.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (Q&A) dated 25 August 2025

Office Furniture Move & Temporary Storage Service IDIQ

SOLICITATION NO. FA468625Q0034

Question 1: Will there be an opportunity for an onsite inspection?

Answer 1: No, the government will not be holding onsite inspections during the solicitation phase. However, post-award, site visits will be required for each Task Order.

Question 2: Do you have a count / area space of all the furniture that needs to be moved?

Answer 2: No, due to the nature of this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, we are unable to provide a definitive count or area of space. Task orders are awarded based on specific requirements as they arise. However, post-award, site visits will be required for each Task Order.

Question 3: Is there a way we can tour the area to see what we will be moving?

Answer 3: No, please refer to question 1 & question 2.

Question 4: Does this contract also require Installers which can dismantle cubicles and office furniture? Or only movers to relocate items?

Answer 4: This contract encompasses personnel to be capable of both dismantling and installing cubicles and office furniture, in addition to relocation services.

Question 5: Is this a new requirement or a current contract with an incumbent? If it is a current contract, can you kindly provide the contract number?

Answer 5: This is a new contract opportunity; therefore, there is no incumbent, and a contract number is not yet assigned.

Question 6: Attachment 1: Item 0002, Item 0003, and Item 0004– are unclear and difficult to price without a time constraint (i.e., hours, amount of items, or days needed to complete).

Answer 6: N/A (Not a question)

Question 7: Item 0002 – how many items per room? What are the sizes of each room? Will a site visit be authorized before the bid is due?

Answer 7: Due to the nature of this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, we are unable to provide a definitive count or area of space. Task orders are awarded based on specific requirements as they arise. However, post-award, site visits will be required for each Task Order.

Question 8: Item 0003 – how many dollies, how many straps, how many blankets? Should the price provided be for 1 strap, 1 dollie, and 1 blanket?

Answer 8: In accordance with the instructions provided, our proposed price will be for Quantity 1, Unit of Measure "Job," encompassing all equipment (dollies, straps, blankets, etc.) necessary to fulfill the requirements outlined in Attachment 2 - OfficeFurnitureMove&TempStorage PWS_FINAL_21Aug25. Therefore, we will not be providing individual pricing or specific quantities for dollies, straps, or blankets, as our proposed price will cover everything needed for a single "Job" as defined in the solicitation.

Question 9: Item 0004 – what size truck? Is it for 1 day or a specific number of hours?

Answer 9: For Item 0004, we will utilize an average 17-foot moving truck, suitable for typical office space relocations. The price provided for Quantity 1, Unit of Measure "Each," covers the use of the truck for the entire duration of the workday.

Question 10: Item 0005 – Can you please provide the size of the wood crate required?

Answer 10: For Item 0005, the specific size of the wood crate will be determined by the contractor based on the dimensions and weight of the items being transported, ensuring both the safe and secure transport of all contents.

Question 11: Will the end users need boxes?

Answer 11: The need for boxes from end users will be determined on a task order level. If boxes are required, the cost for providing them will be factored in the pricing for CLIN 0003 (Moving Equipment), as per PWS para 4.1. We will ensure that all appropriate equipment required for the job is appropriately priced in the CLIN.
