About this file
This is a Questions and Answers amendment document providing clarifications about a Honeywell Vindicator Alarm System installation in Building 7232 for the 7th Security Forces Squadron.
The document specifies that the equipment will report to BDOC (5013) and operates on Windows 10. The system requires both an HID reader for access control with programmable badges and a VSC for the intrusion detection system (IDS) functionality. A VST Terminal running Windows 10 will be used for user enrollment. The contractor must provide the switch, UPS, and dedicated power circuit, with subcontracting permitted. The installation will use a GSA-approved Hamilton door (Model 5201) with an S&G 2740 lock. A 24U cabinet will house the switch, power supply, and UPS. No site survey will be conducted for this project.

Questions and Answers: Amendment 1
1. Is this equipment reporting to the BDOC/Alt BDOC Vindicator system?
This equipment shall report to BDOC (5013). Current Armory is at Bldg.4201 and is operating on Monaco, with the Armory moving over to Bldg.7232 this will be a new install and will have a direct path to Bldg. 5013. I have also detailed on a CIPS ticket to ensure it will have a path to Bldg.7232 when BDOC operations are moved over here later in the future.
2. What version and build are the BDOC and Alt BDOC currently running?
This version is operating on Windows 10.
3. Is there a specific reason the government is requesting a VSC instead of using an HID reader for the arm/disarm function of this system?
It shall come with both. HID reader is your access control with badges programmed to each individual who has access to the area. The VSC is your IDS to see your alarm points, acknowledge your alarm points and the ability to put your facility into access/secure. So, it will need both.
4. How is the government planning on enrolling users for the access control?
There is no enrollment station and there is no security system terminal requested on the equipment list. This shall come with a VST Terminal that is operated off of windows 10 to enroll users.
5. Will there be a site survey for this?
No.
6. What is the 24U Cabinet for?
It is for housing the switch, power supply, and UPS.
7. Is the government providing the requested switch and Uninterruptible Power Supply
(UPS)?
The contractor shall provide this. This equipment listing is quoted.
8. What badging equipment is to be installed around the rack?
With the VST Terminal, this will have the ability to enroll users into the system.
9. Is the government providing the dedicated power circuit to serve the IT equipment cabinets?
The contractor provides this. They may subcontract it out to help them out.
10. Can you provide a door hardware schedule to let us know the size and type of door and frame?
It’s a Hamilton a door approved by GSA for Armory. Model Number:5201 and has a S&G 2740 locked approved by GSA as well. Hope this info helps.
