About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA465926QZ002 addressing inquiries regarding air compressor installation and existing equipment at the contracting facility.
The document clarifies key logistical and equipment details for the project. Installation will occur indoors in an unheated room, necessitating the cold weather package specification for the compressor. While a forklift is available on-site, a pallet jack will be required for final placement due to double door constraints. The facility has existing supporting equipment including a refrigerant air dryer (not desiccant), a large 1000-gallon air receiver tank, and an inline filter with oil/water separator positioned before the air dryer. The contracting officer indicates there is no current incumbent on this contract and cannot provide information regarding previous award history or past vendor awards, indicating this may be a new or re-competed requirement.

FA465926QZ002 - Questions & Answers
1. Is there a forklift that can be used to install the air compressors?
We have a forklift on-site. However, due to the unit needing to pass through double doors for final placement, we will likely need to use a pallet jack.
2. Will the compressor be outdoors? If yes, will it have a roof over it?
No, the compressor will be installed inside. It will be in a room without heating, which is why the unit was specified with the cold weather package.
3. Existing equipment, do you have:
• Desiccant dryer? We have an existing refrigerant air dryer, not a desiccant type.
• Tank? Yes, we have a large, approximately 1000-gallon, air receiver tank.
• Filter & Oil Water separator for condensate? Yes, we have an inline filter positioned just before the air dryer. This unit also serves as the oil/water separator for condensate.
4. Whether there is a current incumbent on this contract.
No current incumbent.
5. The history of previous awards, including the award amount(s).
Unknown.
6. The vendor(s) who were awarded in the past.
