RFQ # FA4659-13-R-0018-Replace Carpet Basic Contract-Amendment 0001
Answers to Request for Information (RFIs)
1. Can you please provide information regarding the planned site visit for the above site visit?
Answer: There will not be a site visit for this project as this replace carpet basic contract can be anywhere on the base, not one specific building.
2. Additionally, can you please provide information on the incumbent contractor and the value for the existing project, base and options?
Answer: There is no incumbent as we do not have a contract in place to replace carpet.
3. Within the solicitation documents provided, I was unable to locate any of the previous years’ workload data. Can you provide that information?
Answer: There is no workload data as there is no contract in place to replace carpet.
4. Should the proposed bid schedule prices include provisions for the successful contractor to remit sales tax to the ND State Tax Department on all materials used in the work?
Answer: Yes, your proposed price must include all sales tax.
5. Under the Performance Work Statement, page 3, 3.2 Storage Area. Will the government provide for unloading of carpet rolls delivered to building 418 for storage?
Answer: When properly notified of the delivery in advance and requested by the contractor, the government will assist with carpet unloading at Building 418 Material
Control Section. The contractor may only deliver carpet for temporary storage during normal working hours (0630-1700) Mon-Fri, federal holidays excluded.
6. Please clarify the bid schedule as follows: 7,000 & 8,000 SY’s of new carpet are scheduled to be installed, but only 7,000 SY’s of existing carpet are scheduled to be removed. Is this correct?
Answer: The new carpet estimated quantities to be installed and removed are correct as stated.
7. Under Option Year one, #1001AB indicates Linear Yard for cove base, should it be
Linear Foot?
Answer: The unit for item number 1001AB on the bid schedule should read “Linear
