About this file
The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Weapons Storage System solicited by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command. The contractor is required to provide a High-Density Mobile Shelving System with Universal Weapons Racks capable of securely storing 30 M16 rifles, 120 M4 rifles, 90 M18 pistols, and miscellaneous spare barrels. The system must have specific technical requirements including fully welded heavy-gauge steel cabinets, perforated mesh doors for visibility, stackable two-level configuration, and a floorless design with surface-mounted, beveled rails installed directly on a concrete slab.
The system specifications are precise, requiring racks in 42-inch and 22-inch widths that fit within specific dimensional constraints (80 in. L x 9 ft 7 5/16th in. W x 73 in. H). The weapons storage solution must include a Carriage Lock for secure positioning, be capable of supporting a minimum 1,000 lb load, and withstand extreme temperatures while preventing weapon abrasion. The solicitation (FA462625Q0061) calls for one stationary weapons rack range with two mobile carriages, 22 universal weapons racks, two surface-mounted ADA compliant rails, and a carriage lock system.
