Question – Set 3

1. Which MAFs would most likely need the conduit replaced, or if not known the one site requiring the wiring to be pulled?

The purpose of establishing Clin 0002 was based on the fact that too many physical unknowns of the condition of the buried 3 inch conduit of each MAF's conduit run from Pump House to Support Building. Thus, looking at past projects and a best guess estimate would put the number of damaged conduits up to 5 of 15 sites. We simply don't know of any site with a bad conduit until the wires are pull and examine at all 15 MAF sites. The most likely sites are Echo, Foxtrot, Golf and Hotel to re-pull the ground which will probably include all the wires.

However it is not know if any of the conduit needs replaced.

2. What type of conduit from pump-house to support building on CLIN 0002?

PVC coated rigid conduit is required as shown in the design to withstand crushing and to meet mission requirements respectively.

3. Is the well pump room considered a 100% wet or damp location?

The Pump House on each 15 MAF locations have water lines, water treatment chemicals and various liquid holding tanks. As a guidance for construction, the contractor should follow the drawings and specifications.
