About this file
This is a Questions and Answers amendment addressing inquiries regarding the Performance Work Statement for solicitation FA462526Q1056 for Dorm Gaming Tables.
All installation locations are on the 1st floor with ground-level access, eliminating the need for stair navigation or freight elevator use. While some facilities have double-door access, all doorways have been confirmed wide enough to accommodate pool tables, ping pong tables, and arcade games. Adequate electrical outlets are available in the gaming areas, and the customer will be on-site to assist with equipment placement. No floor plans are provided. For equipment removal, the Challenger Hall pool table will not be set up and will be stored in Building 115 due to facility remodeling, while old tables at Columbia and Enterprise Halls require contractor removal and hauling away. Contractors may propose two pool table options and must provide 101-inch (8 ft) tables with 96-inch slate rather than 93-inch (7 ft bar box) alternatives. Pool tables must be constructed of hardwood rather than particle board, with tavern-style tables acceptable if made of hardwood. Arcade machines should offer multiple games similar to the current system, which contains 4,600 different games, as pricing varies significantly ($2,000 to $20,000) depending on game types included.

Dorm Gaming Tables
FA462526Q1056
Amendment 3: Questions and Answers
The purpose of this amendment is to address questions received regarding the Performance Work Statement of this solicitation.
1. What floor will all of the games be placed? If on ground floor, is there a presence of ramps or ground-level access points? 1st floor with ground level access
2. Please provide general access conditions at each facility: doorway dimensions, including availability of double-door access for equipment entry. Some have double-door access, but all doors have been wide enough for pool tables, ping pong tables, and arcade games to go through.
3. Do you have a floor plan for where all of the games are located? No floor plans.
Customer will be on site to help place in proper area.
4. If the floor is higher than the 1st floor, is there an elevator or do they need to be carried via the stairs? 1st floor
If via stairs, what are the requirements for stair navigation?
If via freight elevators, please provide interior dimensions and weight capacities.
3. Is there enough electrical outlets in the room for the video games? Yes
6. Kindly clarify if all the installation locations are on ground floor. Yes
7. Could you please confirm if all listed dorm locations (Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Atlantis, Discovery, and Endeavour) have ground-level or elevator access suitable for moving large items such as pool tables and arcade machines? Additionally, please let me know if any of these locations would require moving equipment via stairs. All 1st floor
8. Will any of the tables need to be installed by going up any stairs? No
9. For the pool tables at Challenger and Columbia Hall and the ping pong table at Enterprise Hall, will these tables be removed before the arrival of new equipment or will the contractor be responsible for tearing down and removing? If so, do you have a procedure for trash removal or a dumpster on site where we can use to dispose of the tables? Challenger Hall pool table will not be set up. Table will be stored in Bldg. 115 due to Challenger going down for remodel. Columbia and Enterprise Hall need old taken out and hauled away.
10. Are we allowed to give two pool table options? Yes
11. We just want to confirm that you’re requesting the 101-inch (8 ft) table, not the 93-inch
(7 ft bar box). The reason we’re double-checking is that the 93-inch table is only about 3 inches shorter overall, but the key difference is the slate size. An 8 ft table requires 96-inch slate. 8ft table
12. Confirmation as to whether hardwood furniture-style tables are required, or if tavern-style tables would be considered acceptable? Per the SOW, we are requesting they be hardwood not particle board. With that, they can quote tavern-style as long as they are hardwood.
13. Vendors have indicated that pricing can vary significantly (approximately $2,000 to $20,000) depending on the type of games included. To ensure accurate and competitive quotes, could you please advise if there are any specific game types or categories that should be included in the arcade machines? The current arcade game we have contains 4600 different games and we would like to stick with something similar, that offers multiple games.
