Amendment 3
1. If the oil is contaminated and does NOT meet the specs and must be treated and disposed of as hazardous material will the Contractor be allowed to bill an additional amount related to that higher disposal cost if the material has been contaminated prior to us removing it from the OWS?
ANSWER: THERE WILL NOT BE ANY HAZARDOUS MATERIALS REMOVED
2. Next, on the form detailing the cost breakdown for services I have questions about the individual line items.
001 appears to be a total amount for the entire project, which would include all servicing of OWS, Grease traps, lift stations and the grit pit. This amount would include whatever costs are included in order to provide the service and frequency spelled out in the SOW.
ANSWER: THIS HAS BEEN REVISED, THE COSTS WILL BE ON CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0002.
3. 0001 makes reference to maintenance. What exactly is this item referring to? Also, since your first amendment removed the requirement for contractors to remove filters in the OWS’s does this line item go away?
ANSWER: THIS HAS BEEN REVISED, MAINTENANCE, IS SERVICE TO REMOVE, CLEAN AND
DISPOSE ALL RESIDUE, THERE WILL BE NO MAINTENANCE NEED TO ANY OF THE OWS.
4. Is item 0002 just a line item showing what amount we would charge in the event we are called out to the base for an emergency service?
ANSWER: NO, CLIN IS THE CHARGE PER GALLON ON THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF
RESIDUE COLLECTED DURING THIS SERVICE. NOTE: EMERGENCY SERVICE HAS BEEN
REMOVE.
