About this file
This file is a Post Site Survey Question and Answers document that addresses technical inquiries from potential offerors regarding the McConnell AFB Bleckley Lounge AV upgrade solicitation (FA462126Q0042). The Government provided responses to five key questions that clarify system requirements and scope for this Firm-Fixed-Price contract.
The Government indicated that laser projector replacement is preferred over a complete flat-panel display replacement due to cost-effectiveness and sizing considerations. Wired HDMI input is sufficient for video/content sources, and wireless content sharing capabilities are not required. Video conferencing and unified communications integration (such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams) are explicitly out of scope. Regarding Option 1, which addresses integration of the Bleckley Lounge AV system with the adjacent Tavern space, the Government requested an additional wall-mounted touch control panel behind the bar in the Tavern to serve as a secondary control point rather than relying solely on the master control panel in the Bleckley Lounge. The Government noted that cable run distance and physical conduit pathway information between the Bleckley Lounge AV rack and Tavern AV headend would be provided by close of business on 19 August 2026. These clarifications establish the technical parameters and control architecture requirements for the base scope and optional integration work.

1. What is the approximate cable run distance and physical conduit pathway between the Bleckley Lounge AV rack and the Tavern AV headend? Are dedicated conduits or ceiling trays already available and accessible for inter-room cabling?
0. I will need to get this information. I will do my best to have it to you by COB tomorrow 19 Aug.
1. Does the Government have a specific preference between replacing the existing projector with a high-lumen commercial laser projector or replacing the entire projection system with a large commercial flat-panel display (e.g., 98" commercial display)?
1. I believe replacing the projector with a laser projector will be most realistic to accommodate the sizing preferences and remain cost effective.
1. How many simultaneous video/content sources (e.g., laptop HDMI, wireless presentation) must the system support in the Bleckley Lounge, and is wireless content sharing (e.g., BYOD wireless casting) a required capability, or is wired HDMI input sufficient?
2. Wired HDMI is sufficient.
1. Section (1) Purpose references "meetings" and "briefings" broadly. Is any form of video conferencing / unified communications integration (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) required as part of this scope, or is UC/VTC integration explicitly out of scope?
3. No need for any additional of video conferencing integration.
1. If Option 1 is awarded, should the contractor provide an additional wall-mounted touch panel inside the Tavern space, or will the existing Bleckley Lounge touch panel serve as the master control point to link/unlink both rooms?
4. If awarded, an additional wall mount control behind the bar would be requested.
