About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract issued by the 92nd Contracting Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The amendment, effective February 17, 2026, addresses vendor questions regarding solicitation FA462026QA227 and does not extend the offer receipt deadline. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the deadline by completing the specified blocks and returning copies with their proposal, by acknowledging receipt on each offer copy, or by separate letter or telegram referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers.
The amendment answers two key vendor questions: (1) Walk-through metal detectors (magnetometers) and handheld wands do not need to be brand new equipment as long as rental or refurbished units are fully operational and meet Statement of Work requirements including setup, calibration/verification, and on-site technician support; and (2) This is a new requirement with limited scope and no current incumbent, though a similar requirement was previously solicited in 2024 under FA462024QA220 and awarded for the SkyFest 24' Airshow. Vendors are instructed to complete blocks 15a, 15b, and 15c and provide a copy with their proposal. The contracting officer is Brandon M. Terry.

Amendment 0001 Page 2
SUMMARY OF CHANGES
The purpose of this Amendment is to:
1. Answer vendor Questions
Q: Does the Government require the walk-through metal detectors (magnetometers) and handheld wands to be brand new equipment, or are rental/refurbished units acceptable as long as they are fully operational and meet the Statement of Work requirements (including setup, calibration/verification, and on-site technician support)?
A: If the units are operational and meet the SOW they do not need to be brand new.
Q: Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent?
A: This is a new requirement and a limited scope service; there is no current incumbent. A similar requirement was solicited in 2024 (FA462024QA220) and was awarded for the SkyFest 24’ Airshow (FA462024P0023).
Fill out blocks 15a, 15b, and 15c and provide a copy with your proposal.
