FA46082425QC113, Mobile Shelving Unit, Amendment 02
DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
2D CONTRACTING SQUADRON (AFGSC)
BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE LOUISIANA
2 July 2025
MEMORANDUM FOR Vendors/Offerors
FROM: 2d Contracting Squadron/PKP 801 Kenney Avenue, Building 4400, Suite 2300 Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana 71110
SUBJECT: Amendment 02, FA460825QC113, Mobile Shelving Unit
1. The purpose of issuing Amendment 02 is to provide further clarification in the form of a Question and Answers document. The answers to each follow-up question regarding Amendment 1 are highlighted below in red:
Question 1: The Q&A mentions about the width and depth of the drawers, but I don’t see any indication of the height of the drawers required.
Answer 1: Minimum height for the drawers would be 12” to a maximum of 24”.
Question 2: It states adjustable divider and partitions are required in the drawers, is there a quantity of each needed or a specific layout of openings they are they looking to get in each drawer?
Answer 2: Ability to adjust vertically(front to back of drawer) 4 sections within the drawer.
Initial layout might be 1’ W x 18” D for each section but need ability to adjust to make that one section 2’ x 18” and the other 2 sections 1’ x 18”.
Question 3: Ceiling height is mentioned to be 92.25”H, the SOW mentions we must be 18” under that height. That leaves us with 74.25”H, taking into account the typical height of a mobile system (5-7.5”), that only leaves between 66.75” – 69.25”H for the shelving height. This would have an impact on the opening sizes and we wanted to verify how we should best proceed as the drawing shows a shelving height of 78”.
Answer 3: Assuming 66”, I would like two 24” shelves(bottom & middle) and one 18” shelf(top).
Question 4: I will also need more details on the job site for unloading, staging, assembly and installation.
Answer 4: Parking lot has space for 18-wheeler to pull in and unload. No loading dock at
FA46082425QC113, Mobile Shelving Unit, Amendment 02 building but can make a forklift available day of. There is a single door entry to room and 88” wide hallway to the room and single door entry to the hallway. Building has multiple double-door entry points and staging areas can be accommodated.
2. The original due date and time of 1:00 PM CDT on 03 July 2025 has also been extended to 1:00 PM CDT on 08 July 2025 for Solicitation FA460825QC113.
3. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this amendment, please contact SSgt Hector S.
