About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum addressing conflicting information about walk pad requirements in a solicitation. The key issue revolves around a discrepancy in the quantity of walk pads, with previous answers citing 1900 linear feet (LF) and later clarifications confirming the correct quantity as 1190 LF. The contracting agency directs potential bidders to consult drawings posted on www.SAM.gov for specific details about walk pad locations and requirements. Multiple questions sought clarification on walk pad placement, such as whether they are needed around specific rooftop equipment (RTUs), how they should be included in proposals, and whether they must connect from equipment hatches to individual units.

Q105. There is conflict in the information provided in the Q&As regarding the quantity of walk pads to be included in the proposal. In Answers 23 and 55, the quantity is stated as 1190 LF while in Answers 73, 77, 81 and 95 the quantity of 1900 is quoted.

A105. Answers 23 and 55 are correct. Please see the following updates to Q&A’s 73, 77, 81, and 95.

Q73. Where are walk pads needed? Can you please provide a linear foot or the major roof top equipment referenced?

A73. See drawings posted on www.SAM.gov and 1900 1190 LF of walk pads.

Q77. Are the service walk pads a requirement? If so, how should this be included in the proposal? Price per ft?

A77. See drawings posted on www.SAM.gov and 1900 1190 LF of walk pads.

Q81. Please provide a sketch / drawing of the paths which require walk-pads. We attended the walk through where it was going to be pointed out, but the path was either not covered or we did not hear which equipment needed walk-pads.

A81. See drawings posted on www.SAM.gov and 1900 1190 LF of walk pads.

Q95. Please clarify where walk pads are to be installed. Are they only to be placed around RTU's that are operational? Do walk pads have to connect from hatch to each unit?

A95. See drawings posted on www.SAM.gov and 1900 1190 LF of walk pads.
