About this file
Attachment 1 - Salient Characteristics is a detailed specification document for a custom Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) mobile trailer required by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command. The trailer must be a minimum 8.5'W x 48'L with specific interior and exterior requirements to support a 6-person EOD team, functioning as a mobile command center for nuclear operations.
Key specifications include interior features such as sleeping accommodations for 6 persons, storage for personal gear and SCBA kits, a full kitchen, bathroom, workspace with 6 laptop-capable workstations, a 40Kw generator, heating/AC, and insulated water tanks. Exterior requirements include multiple entrances, an awning, outdoor kitchen, blackout window tinting, and an integrated air compressor. The trailer is designed to operate in extreme environments like North Dakota, replacing current inadequate tent and box-trailer facilities, with delivery and training included as part of the requirement.
