Rusty Kaiser then gave a brief overview of the scope of the contract. He reiterated that questions were due to 2Lt Chermel 13 August 2013 at 1600 (4:00 P.M.)EST. Rusty then described that this contract covers all of the basic operations and maintenance of the base. One question asked was if base housing was included in this contract, Rusty said that yes, some parts were included. The initial meeting was concluded and was moved to Building 302 of the 436th Communications Squadron to see the telephone switch room. Due to an exercise on the base, there was a delay in traveling to the other end of the base. Each contractor was asked to remove all electronic devices before entering into the telephone switch room. No pictures were allowed to be taken, and each contractor had to sign in. Rusty informed the contractors that the 436th Communications Squadron’s telephone switch room would be moved during the base year of the contract. There will be new cables in the new buildings and the current building that the meeting was held in will be demolished. Rusty showed the contracts the setup of the control room. Contractors walked around the room to observe and take notes.

After all of the contractors sufficiently surveyed the telephone switch room, the meeting concluded.

New questions and answers will be posted.
