Laundry Services FSS/Lodging/ASA-NCOA 2025 Q&A
1. Is there currently an incumbent?
a. No, this is a new requirement.
2. Regarding laundry drop off, there are 3 locations listed in 6.0. However, in 5.0 there are 7 locations listed. Are we dropping off at 3 or 7 locations?
a. 6 buildings total, There are 4 All-American Inn locations listed with combined weights in 6.1.
i. PWS 6.1 FSS: Linen is picked-up and delivered on the first floor at the following 4 All-American Inn locations, Lakehurst (BLD 481), Doughboy (BLD 5997), All-American In (BLD 2786) and Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF- BLD 2783).
ii. PWS 6.2 ASA: Linen is picked-up and delivered on the first floor of building 5505.
iii. PWS 6.3 NCOA: Linen is picked-up and delivered on the first floor of building 5516.
3. In 5.0 it's listed that pick up is listed on "All floors of each building". Will our staff need to visit each floor for pick up or will it be one location. If each floor, how many floors and locations are there?
a. Linen is picked-up and delivered on the first floor of the 6 respective buildings.
4. Will there be daily pick up at each location? Or weekly pick up with a 48 hr turnaround? (Once a week)
a. ASA: Weekly pick-up on Tuesday. Coordinated with ASA POC.
i. TBSA: Once per week. Coordinated with TBSA POC.
b. NCOA: Once or twice per week. Coordinated with NCOA POC.
c. Lodging: Daily on the first floor of the following 4 locations, Lakehurst (BLD 481), Doughboy (BLD 5997), All-American In (BLD 2786) and Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF- BLD 2783).
5. Will the laundry be weighed at the government site and at the contractor's site or just at the contractor's site?
a. The PWS states that the contractor and a Government representative will be present to weigh the articles together. Laundry will be weighed at the government sites.
i. “The standardized scale must be brought to each site that has a scheduled pickup through the delivery truck that comes on base. The scale must have documented periodic scale checks, every 3 months, to guarantee that the scale is balanced and the weights are correct.”
6. Is it a must to show previous work on government contracts or any previous work is accepted?
a. Any previous laundry work at “large” scale is accepted. Some examples of large scale are Hotels, Hospitals, and Government buildings.
7. I see that all items are billed per lb. Is this also for the dry cleaning stuff?
a. Yes, all laundry is billed by the lb.
8. The pricing section includes the importance of submitting the SF 1449 with the proposal, however there is not a 1449 attached to the documents. Any thoughts?
a. This section was updated to remove the SF1449 verbiage. You do NOT need to submit the SF 1449.
9. Can you clarify PWS section 4.7.
a. 4.7 was removed.
