87ABW/XP SVTC QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Architectural & Site Information

1. Recognizing that architectural plans may not be available, could you please provide the general room dimensions (length, width, ceiling height, height to deck/slab above)? And could you describe the locations of existing rack, cameras, video wall?

• Please see attached floor plan. The rooms utilized will be 127 (primary conference room) and 124 (Comm equipment room).

2. Could you provide details about the main conference table? Specifically: Is it fixed or movable? What are its approximate dimensions? What type of base does it have (e.g., pedestals, legs)?

• The main conference table is in a horseshoe formation. It’s comprised of multiple desk units. It’s a bit difficult to describe in words; I’ve attached a document showing the layout of the tables/desks and their approximate dimensions. All are around 2 ft 5 in tall. All desks/tables are moveable. The base is comprised of panels/pedestals. Each desk (can seat 2 individuals) has a panel in the back that allows for easy access of cables.

3. Are there accessible cable pathways (e.g., raised floor, accessible ceiling tiles, existing conduit) between the equipment rack, the video wall, and the conference table?

• We have a raised floor in both the main conference room and the comm room. The ceiling tiles are accessible but require a tall ladder. Fall prevention equipment is advised.

Existing System Information

1. To ensure seamless integration with our proposed system solution, we need the complete technical details of the existing 15-panel video wall. Can you please provide the manufacturer and model number for both the individual display panels and the primary video wall processor/controller that drives them? Additionally, please list any other video wall peripherals in the signal path, such as multi-window processors.

• The fifteen panel wall is comprised of 15 Samsung VM55B-U 55 units. There is 1 Extron MGP-641 multi-window processor. I’ve attached a file named “JB MDL Atlona”. This was provided by the previous contractor. It provides some insight into how the configuration is set up. Please note that all Atlona equipment will be removed and replaced with JTIC/DISA approved Crestron equipment.

2. Can you also provide the manufacturer, model, and quantity for the "current speaker systems" that the new audio system must integrate with?

• Unfortunately, I do not possess any documentation regarding the current ceiling speakers. The ceiling mics are Shure - MXA920.

3. To assist with our physical installation and RED/BLACK separation planning, would it be possible to provide the most current audiovisual system drawings for the existing equipment?

• I can provide what the previous contractors offered us.

4. The SOO mentions replacing "Atlona A/V equipment". Could you provide a list of the specific Atlona components that are to be decommissioned?

• I have attached the “JBMDL Atlona” document the previous contractor provided.

System & Equipment Requirements

1. Microphones: The SOO requires contractor-provided push-to-talk microphones.

What is the total quantity of microphones required to serve the seating area?

• 13 microphones. The intent is to cover the “inner horseshoe” seating and the briefer seat. The mic locations can be found on the attached “JBOC Desk Layout” document.

2. "Mission Control" Workstation: The SOO requires a station with a single GFE computer controlling four monitors. Will the four monitors also be GFE, or are they to be provided by the contractor? If contractor-provided, are there minimum requirements for size and resolution?

• Contractor provided. Minimum size 24”. Minimum resolution 1920 x 1080.

This will also require a contractor-supplied monitor arm.

3. What video outputs (e.g., DisplayPort, HDMI) will be available on the GFE computer?

• Both HDMI and DP. We’ll be utilizing a HP USB-C Dock G5, along with ports on the computer.

4. User Inputs: The SOO states that "multiple locations can utilize the Crestron to display onto the 15 panel wall". How many distinct user input locations (e.g., at a lectern, conference table, or wall plate) are required for content sharing?

• Ideally, 21. You can see labeled seats on the “JBOC Desk Layout” document.

“Mission control 1-4” is where the 4 monitor, 1 computer setup would be. Cat execs 1-3, SIPR, Briefer 1, and all seats in the inner horeshoe would ideally be able to share their screens.

5. Cable Television: The SOO mentions "cable television input" as a potential source.

Is a cable television tuner required? If so, will it be GFE?

• We have a cable tuner from Xfinity. The intent is to transmit the news onto the wall.

Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Clarification

1. To ensure proper integration and system design, could you please provide the specific model numbers for the two (2) GFE "Pan-Tilt-Zoom 12x" cameras listed in the SOO?

• CISCO EVI-X200C PTZ 4K Camera

2. Please confirm if all necessary mounting hardware (i.e., two sets of rack ears for the codecs and two wall mounts for the cameras) will be included with the GFE.

• Mounting hardware will be provided by the Contractor. It is not GFE.

System Design & Security Compliance

1. Our design must adhere to RED/BLACK physical separation standards per SRG- VOIP-000210. Can you confirm the required physical separation distance for equipment and cabling (e.g., 1 meter for equipment, 15 cm for cables) that we must maintain within the equipment rack?

• All red/black lines are separated by a min of 2” (15 cm). Runs of over 100ft require a min separation of 6”. All communications equipment within 20 meters of classified processing must be identified.

2. Per the Endpoint SRG, features like Far End Camera Control (FECC) and Auto- Answer on the VTC codecs must be disabled unless a mission requirement dictates otherwise. Please confirm that both features should be disabled on both GFE Cisco codecs as part of our configuration.

• Yes, please disable these functionalities.
