21 STS Security System Installation Services

Questions and Responses (rev 9-20-22) New QnR’s highlighted in yellow.

Q1) Are Scaled Drawings available, if so please post.

R1) Drawings are not available

Q2) Are Ceilings Suspended? Or Hard Lid?

R2) Suspended

Q3) Are there existing Cable Trays for wiring above ceilings?

R3) Yes

Q4) Can Existing Wiring be utilized?

R4) No, existing cables are Cat. 5 (Fifteen years old)

Q5) Is a “UPS” required? If so, What Time/Power Duration is required?

R5) Yes/3 hours, whatever your equipment requires

Q6) Are “Or Equal” Equipment substitutions allowed?

R6) Yes

Q7) Is “Plenum Wire” acceptable?

R7) Yes

Q8) Is “After Hours Access” for said work, available to contractor at no add’l cost to the Gov’t?

R8) Yes

Q9) What is the height of Exterior Cameras (if any)?

R9) 12 feet or less

Q10) Please provide/post other “Q/A” requests.

R10) All questions received will be provided the Government response via SAM.gov, to ensure all interested parties receive the same information.

Q11) Please provide a list of equipment to be installed.

R11) Refer to the Scope of Work for equipment requiring installation

Q12) The PWS mentions additional conduit. If we are just replacing existing cameras, can we re-utilize the existing pathways?

R12) Yes, the existing pathway can be re-utilized

Q13) If possible, can pictures be posted of the camera locations so bidders can assess heights, obstructions, etc.?

R13) Pictures provided.

Q14) The SOW states, “The following recently procured government equipment is required to be installed:” Installation of the C2 computer must be completed by the vendor/integrator. Can the government confirm what system/manufacturer is being used for cameras and as the Video Management?

R14) The server is an Avigilon NVR4 Value 1U w/24TB of storage space.

Q15) Can the government confirm that there is no cable or equipment required to be procured by the contractor other than the power supply and all other is previously procured by the government?

R15) The Scope of Work has been revised to provide clarity on the Government property that will be required to be installed and is available to the Vendor. All other equipment/supplies required for the installation is the responsibility of the Vendor.

The following questions refer to Scope of Work paragraph 3:

Q16) Installation of the C2 computer must be completed by the vendor/integrator. I did not see a computer in the list of procured equipment.

R16) Computer (HP Z620) is already in place and not a newly acquired piece of equipment, no installation required.

Q17) Replace Eight 5MP indoor/outdoor zoom dome. What are the make, model, and type of cameras?

this will determine the type of mounting hardware required.

R17) Refer to Scope of Work (rev 9-16-2022) for this information.

Q18) Expandable software/hardware, this is to ensure the CCTV infrastructure will be able to expand with the addition of buildings or equipment. Has this software been purchased? Is it compatible with the current infrastructure?

R18) Yes to both questions.

Q19) Capable of being remotely controlled/viewed from smart devices, tablets, and computers. Are we setting up WIRELESS access to the system? Will it be connected to the base security system?

R19) Yes, wireless access to the system is required, it will not be connected to the base security system.

Q20) Power supply must be included/completed by the vendor/integrator. Is the switch not a POE switch?

R20) Additional context to this question is required to provide a response.

Q21) Installation must include mounting of all devices, as well as conduit and cable runs. Is the conduit on hand or will it need to be purchased ? If so will the contractor be required to purchase it?

R21) Refer to R12, if additional conduit is required the contractor is required to purchase it.

Q22) Warranty agreement with service, for instances where a device fails. If the cameras have been purchased, the warranty on the equipment should have been included, Are you requesting a maintenance option on the equipment?

R22) No.
