About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA442726R0006, concerning laundry services for the West Wind Inn and Fisher House at Travis Air Force Base, California.
The document addresses three primary inquiries from offerors. Question 1 requests fabric composition and special processing requirements for linen categories in Appendices A and B, with the Government providing detailed fabric specifications for both facilities. West Wind Inn linens include 100% ring-spun cotton bath linens, 250 thread count 60/40 poly/cotton blend sheets, T250 100% cotton blankets, and various polyester or blended items for mattress protectors, pillows, and bedding accessories. Fisher House linens feature higher-quality materials, including 500 thread count 100% long staple cotton sheets, 100% cotton blankets and pillowcases, and cotton-based or vinyl bedding. Question 2 asks for current PAR (Par Level) standards for all linen items; the Government confirms a 3-PAR Standard with packaging details referenced in Appendices A and B. Question 3 inquires whether emergency services require separate pricing; the Government clarifies that emergency services are no longer required per the updated PWS dated 23 March 2026.
