About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for federal contract opportunity FA442726Q1136, addressing contractor inquiries regarding office furniture procurement for the 349th Air Mobility Wing (AMW).
The solicitation requires furniture for five rooms (134–138) and room 212 and 215. Room 134 requires five L-shaped desks with height adjustment if possible; rooms 135–138 require executive-style furniture with mahogany-colored finishes and mandatory height-adjustment capabilities. Room 212 requires a conference table with dimensions of 7'6" L × 3'10" W × 2'6" H (height corrected from initial specification). Room 215 requires six cubicle-style customer service workstations, each with one guest chair, two large lateral file cabinets (42" × 18" × 65"), and associated support furniture. All furniture must match in color and appearance across the five rooms, though visual coordination among compatible product lines is acceptable rather than requiring identical manufacturers. The government clarified that "mahogany in color" refers to color only, permitting high-pressure laminate and other commercial-grade woodgrain finishes as alternatives to wood veneer. Installation will occur on the first floor with no loading dock available; all existing furniture will be disposed of by the contractor, including recycling and hauling fees. The contractor must provide three individual AC power receptacles per workstation (not requiring furniture integration or USB charging ports), handle furniture power distribution and cable management only (with the government responsible for final electrical connections and LAN work), and submit comprehensive proposal documentation including dimensioned plans, product data sheets, finish selections, electrical/data plans, and renderings. Delivery and installation must occur as soon as feasibly possible, maintaining a standard 60 days after award (ARO), with personnel removing their own effects prior to furniture removal and preferably completing removal and installation on the same day. All seating must comply with BIFMA standards and include adjustable features (arm height, seat height, lumbar support, stable base) to accommodate varying body types.
