About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for 60 OSS Air System Maintenance, issued by the federal government on August 24, 2026, containing contractor questions and official government responses regarding contract requirements and system specifications.
The RFI addresses five primary contractor inquiries. First, regarding replacement parts and major components such as air filters, vacuum pumps, and vacuum-system components, the government clarified that major component replacement will be separately authorized and funded after contractors submit quotes and detailed performance plans. Second, for emergency maintenance requiring 48-hour on-site response, contractors must provide a separate cost element for emergency visits rather than including these costs in quarterly Firm-Fixed-Price CLINs. Third, government approval from the designated point of contact is required before replacing major/high-value components including vacuum pumps, motors, and rotary valves. Fourth, the prime contractor may satisfy OEM/factory-trained personnel requirements through OEM-authorized/factory-trained subcontractor technicians. Fifth, completed Past Performance Questionnaires should be submitted to Mr. Jonathan Daniels and Alexander Love Gaunt.
The RFI also documents contractor requests for system information, with government responses directing contractors to Attachment 1 (SOW) for photos of existing equipment and nameplates, Attachment 9 (Manual) for manufacturer/model numbers, pump specifications, and filter/rotary valve information. The government indicated that serial numbers are unknown, the system contains one vacuum pump, and all equipment documentation is outlined in the provided manual.

Request For Information
60 OSS Air System Maintenance
(Updated 24 Aug 2026)
Contractor Request (24 August 2026):
1. Replacement Parts / Major Components:
The SOW states that the contractor is responsible for replacement of air filters, vacuum pumps, and other vacuum-system components as needed. Please confirm whether replacement parts and major components, including replacement of the complete vacuum pump if required, are expected to be included in the quarterly Firm- Fixed-Price CLINs, or whether major corrective repairs/components will be separately authorized and funded by the Government.
Major component replacement will be identified and the contractor must submit a quote to the government for the part(s) and provide a detailed plan to bring the system to optimal performance.
2. Emergency Maintenance:
The SOW requires emergency maintenance with an on-site response within 48 hours.
Please confirm whether emergency labor, travel, and repair/replacement parts must be included in the quarterly FFP pricing or whether emergency corrective maintenance will be separately authorized.
Contractors must provide a separate cost element for emergency visits.
3. Major Component Authorization:
Please confirm whether Government approval is required prior to replacement of major/high-value components such as the vacuum pump, motor, rotary valve, or similar equipment.
See answer to question #1. Approval by the designated point of contact must be given before replacement of major/high-value components.
4. 4. OEM/Factory-Trained Personnel:
The SOW requires technicians to possess verifiable factory/OEM training or certification applicable to industrial vacuum systems comparable to the installed system. Please confirm whether the prime contractor may satisfy this requirement through an OEM-authorized/factory-trained subcontractor technician.
CONS: Prime contractor(s) may satisfy the requirement through an OEM-authorized/factory-trained subcontractor technician(s).
5. 5. Past Performance Questionnaire:
Attachment 5 directs references to submit completed PPQs to TSgt Hunter Losen, while Amendment 02 identifies Mr. Johnathan Daniels as the current Contract Specialist. Please confirm the appropriate recipient/email address for completed PPQs.
CONS: Send to Mr. Jonathan Daniels and Alexander Love Gaunt.
