B2400 – Server Room

Pre-Bid Questions

FA441822R0016 03 Aug 22

1. Are there any specific security clearances required for any work associated with the severs and comm cabling? No

2. Will any work be required to be completed at night? It is possible that some work will be required to take place outside of standard hours. Refer to specification 01 14 00 "Work Restrictions" for further details.

3. Can a window be removed from the Bldg. use for material access? The government cannot dictate means and methods for how materials are placed in the job site. If appropriately coordinated and evaluated from a safety perspective, this may be an option.

4. Who maintains the existing fire alarm system? The existing fire alarm is currently maintained by Eagle Fire.

5. Could you please confirm the location of the controls SC that is closest to the new server room.

Room P220 is the nearest SC (see attached).

6. Please clarify if the SA-CFM-C show on mechanical sheet MI801 for the CRAC unit is necessary.

Sequence of operation do not call for it and for this type of units, in most of the cases, the fan speed is controlled by a temperature sensor and not by the amount of CFM in the discharge of the unit.

There are some CRAC units configured this way, in most cases it will not be necessary. It will depend upon the standard configuration of the units submitted and accepted on this project.
